We popped down to check on the boat today and top up the electric meter. We have left the Alde Compact thermostat set at 5 degrees, so this week it has been kept busy, but it's reassuring to know that the chill is taken off and it's nice to have some instant hot water when we arrive. It really is a great system and not expensive at all to run.
We stopped by at Fradley on the way down for a wander round (and a pint) and were fortunate to have timed it just right as we bumped into Maffi. He was just about to enter Junction Lock as we arrived, so we introduced ourselves, as avid readers of his blog, helped lock him up whilst having a brief chat, before waving him off down the Coventry. It was great to meet you Maffi and hopefully we'll have more time for a proper catch up in the summer !!

| Have a safe journey.
Plans are progressing well for our summer trip and we have a short term mooring arranged at Cropredy after Easter, which will be upon us before we know it. Retirement is also approaching very quickly and it's all starting to get just a little bit exciting...
